Course Duration:     5 Days (40 Hours)                                                                                                   Course Fees:     $1245

Objective:
Ultrasonic Testing - Level II, Classroom NDT training course is developed to meet the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A, CP-189 -189, and other equivalent standards and customer-specific written practice for training and certification in this method of Non-Destructive Testing personnel.
After completion of Ultrasonic Testing - Level II classroom training course, you will get in-depth knowledge of Ultrasonic weld flaw sizing, weld inspection, discontinuity interpretation, and evaluation as per ASME Sec V article 4, AWS D1.1, and application of Ultrasonic Shear Wave techniques to test welding of pipe, plate, and other various product forms.

Training Examination & Certification Requirement:
During these Ultrasonic Testing Level II classes, you will take an examination covering General Theory, Specifications, and Practical. You are required to successfully pass these three examinations with a minimum of 70% grading in each examination, and the average grading of all three examinations should be 80% minimum as per the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2024 or NAS 410.

OJT Hours: As per the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A, you need to have a minimum of 630 Hours of on-the-job training (OJT) after completion of training classes for certification in this method.
Pre-Requisite: A Person attending direct Level II needs to have 40 Hours of Level I classroom hours in this method.

Basic Principle of Ultrasonic Testing
In ultrasonic testing, high-frequency sound waves are transmitted into a material to detect imperfections or to locate changes in material properties. The most commonly used ultrasonic testing technique is pulse-echo, in which a sound pulse is introduced into a test object and reflections (echoes) are returned to a receiver from internal imperfections or from the part's geometric surfaces.
