Pre-Requisite: A Person attending direct Level II needs to have 40 Hours of Level I classroom hours in this method.
Basic Principle of Ultrasonic Testing
In ultrasonic testing, high-frequency sound waves are transmitted into a material to detect imperfections or to locate changes in material properties. The most commonly used ultrasonic testing technique is pulse-echo, in which a sound pulse is introduced into a test object and reflections (echoes) are returned to a receiver from internal imperfections or from the part's geometric surfaces.
