Ultrasonic Digital Thickness Measurement - Level II
Course Duration: 1 Day (8 Hours) Course Fees: $550
Objective:
Ultrasonic Digital Thickness Measurement - Level II, Classroom NDT training course is developed to meet the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A, CP -189, and other equivalent standards and customer specific written practice for training and certification in this method of Non-Destructive Testing personnel.
after completion of the Ultrasonic Digital Thickness Measurement course, you will get in-depth knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing principles, sound waves, transducers, equipment, and application of Ultrasonic Testing techniques to test various product forms.
Training Examination & Certification Requirement:
During this Ultrasonic Digital Thickness Measurement training class, you will give an examination in General theory, Specification, and Practical. You are required to successfully pass these three examinations with a minimum of 70% grading in each examination and the average grading of all three examinations should be 80% minimum as per the requirement of ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2011.
OJT Hours: As per the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A, you need to have a minimum of 40 Hours of on-job training (OJT) after completion of training classes for certification in this method.
Basic Principle of Ultrasonic Digital Thickness Measurement Testing
In the ultrasonic testing method, high-frequency sound waves transmitted into a material to detect the imperfections or to locate changes in material properties. The most commonly used ultrasonic testing technique is pulse echo, wherein the sound is introduced into a test object, and reflections (echoes) are returned to a receiver from internal imperfections or from the part's geometrical surfaces.
